The first building of the residential quarter “Merks Viesturdārzs” has been commissioned

The 1st stage building of the project “Merks Viesturdārzs”, located at Rūpniecības Street 25, Riga, has been commissioned for operation. This building is located closest to Viesturdārzs park and has a total of 96 apartments and 3 retail premises on the first floor of the building. The apartment sizes range from 36 to 278 square meters, including terraces and balconies. On July 22, for the first time the project invites to an open door day, where visitors will have an opportunity to see the apartments, building and facilities.

This is a unique project in the center of Riga, because the first building marks the development of a whole quarter, it will be the largest residential quarter in the Quiet Center. As a part of the first stage, we also built a new street that connects Rūpniecības and Katrīnas streets. We take care that our projects fit architecturally into the surrounding environment – in this case between Viesturdārzs park, the Quiet Center and Andrejsala. Surroundings of the project are attractive both as a home and as a place for business,” says Andris Bišmeistars, Member of the Board and Construction Director of “Merks”.

Kindergartens and schools are also available near the project.”

In the first stage of “Merks Viesturdārzs” project, a variety of apartments with a well thought-out layout and high-quality interior finishings are available – various types of 2 and 3-room apartments, as well as spacious 4-room apartments and duplex apartments. The apartments have extra spacious energy-efficient wooden windows of 2.4 meters height with aluminium linings, which provide a lot of natural light. Heating convectors are built into the floor to maintain the room space.
Each apartment is equipped with an air recuperation system and triple glazing, which ensures the building’s energy efficiency corresponding to Class A. This, in turn, means lower energy costs for residents and an even temperature in the building during drastic changes in outdoor temperature.
Each apartment has a video intercom. The apartments have balconies and terraces where residents can enjoy the proximity of the park. The project also includes an underground car parking with electric car charging points and private individual warehouses that can be purchased by residents. On the first floor of each staircase, there are spacious, lockable common areas for prams and bicycles.

“Merks Viesturdārzs” is the latest residential project developed by the construction company “Merks”. Within the project it is planned to construct three buildings with about 350 apartments.
