“Merks” will build a new substation in Skrunda
Construction company “Merks” has signed a contract with AS “Augstsprieguma tīkls” and AS “Sadales tīkls” for the construction of a new 110/20kV substation in Skrunda.
“Safe, qualitative, accessible and economically justified power supply infrastructure is vital for successful development of each particular region, and construction of the substation in Skrunda is another step towards improvement of the aforementioned qualities of the power supply system. We are pleased that we can use our knowledge for modernization and improvement of the power supply infrastructure of Latvia”, says head of the Power building department of “Merks” Edijs Balga.
Construction works of the new substation are scheduled to be completed by October 1, 2018 and the total costs of the project are 1.6 million euros.
