Andris Bišmeistars takes over the management of “Merks”

On Wednesday April 1, Andris Bišmeistars, who previously held the position of Director of Construction, will take over the management of “Merks”.

It is at this time the manager must be brave, farsighted and ready to make right and serious decisions every day. We need to unite the team to successfully overcome this situation, because we have many talented and professional people. I believe that in the future we will be even stronger, more efficient, smarter and of course united for new challenges,” says Andris Bišmeistars, Chairman of the Management Board of “Merks”. “I would like to thank the previous head of the company Oskars Ozoliņš, who has given a great contribution to “Merks” during his career, and I was honoured to work with him over the years.”

Andris Bišmeistars has been working for “Merks” since 2005, when he started to work as a technician in engineering department, becoming the construction manager in 2008, and the project manager in 2012. In 2017, Andris was appointed as the Deputy Director of Construction, and in 2018, he became the Director of Construction and member of the board. Andris has managed several significant objects built by “Merks”, such as as RTU Faculty of Power and Electrical Engineering, residential project “Skanstes Parks” and multifunctional complex “Z-towers”.

Andris holds professional bachelor’s degree in construction and an engineer’s qualification from Riga Technical University.
