The construction of “Decco Centrs” 1st stage has been completed

The construction of the first and largest stage of “Decco Centrs” complex is now completed. The complex is located at Katlakalna street 6d in Riga, and the main designing and construction work was carried out by “Merks”, Ltd. The complex of buildings, which combines department stores with individual entrances, offices and warehouses, covers 13,500 square meters. About 65% of the total area are provided for shops and offices, and 35% – for warehouses.

About 10 million euro were invested in the development of this largest complex of interior and design objects in the Baltic States. The construction lasted for a very short time – the works at the construction site were launched in April this year, and in only eight months the first stage buildings of “Decco Centrs” are already available for tenants and visitors.

“In total, 250 different field specialists worked in the facility. The planning and coordination of their work was particularly stressful this time, given the rapid pace of construction,” explains “Merks” project manager Zigmunds Urtāns. “The buildings are open, they are notable for wide glazing, which allows to see the interiors of the stores clearly and lets a lot of sunlight inside.”

In the quarter, more than 20 shops that sell furniture, plumbing, kitchen equipment, decoration materials, sauna equipment, fireplaces, security systems, lighting, interior decorations, home textiles and accessories are available. “Wenden”, “Nakts mēbeles”, “Home4you’’, “Nest studija”, “Siena”, “Kult”, “Gaismas un Serviss”, “Sonel”, “Prodex” , “Mebellini”, “Lett” and other stores have already opened their doors for visitors.
